Every Contract Should Include an Out clause
We’ve all had clients who we dreaded working with because they were difficult, where the scope of what we are supposed to do is actually much larger than what we’ve been led to believe.
Any time you have a long-term relationship, such as a consulting contract for a year, you want to have an Out-clause. Your contract should let you stop working with that client or on that project or renegotiate payment terms if certain adverse things happen.
An Out-clause just might save your business and your sanity.
